Me
My name is Laura Acton. I am a piano major at The University of Western Ontario. I began my musical journey in the children's choir at my church, and shorty after, began piano lessons. I auditioned for St.Mary Choir and Orchestra School when I was in grade 4, and began my time there in grade 5, where I learned violin. After I graduated in grade 8, I continued in an amazing Vocal and String program at Catholic Central High School. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Western, in the Don Wright Faculty of Music, and I am so happy to be here.
About The Website
I made this website for the Introduction to Music Education Class that I am apart of at Western University. In this class we are learning different ways of teaching and learning. We are also learning more about ourselves in the process. Throughout my website, you will find videos about me and about teaching, a written interview with an influential teacher of mine, and a grade 5 student, responses to different articles about teaching, and more!
